Process Events

Triggering events in a process

Events are things in a process that initiate something. 

Start and End Events

The circle in the diagram below is a start event. When the process is started, the start event is triggered and the flow begins from that point.

The circle in the diagram below is an end event. End events are shown thicker than start events. Once all flows in a process instance reach an end event, the instance is complete.
